what videogames kids consumed at the time was 100% on the parents. Games had to be bought or rented at physical stores. Games were well labeled like movies were. There was no need to ban or censor videogame because a bunch of pearl catchers cried "think of the children!!!".

You want something to blame for kids trooning out? blame actual Internet porn.

You said "trad right" not politicians like Tipper Gore and Hillary Clinton.

The "trad right" wanted awareness. I worked a rental counter when GTA 3 came out, and people had absolutely no idea what they were renting for their 8 year old kids. And even trying to explain to them went over their head because people are NPCs, if someone doesn't make noise about a game, they would never know they were picking up soft core porn for their kids.

The push to ban games was not the same as "hey, they are selling porn to kids!" Just like, oh idk, the current debate about books in school libraries?

I won't take responsibility for irresponsible parents, and neither should you

That wasn't his point. His point was that the only people trying to censor games via the power of the government were Tipper Gore, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Lieberman.

This narrative that it was the trad right going after games is a complete fabrication of history. The Christians may have bitched about D&D and videogames at church, but the people actually demanding the government do something about them were all Democrats.

So just because some kids get exposed to violent video games we need to ban all of them?

Also, what school library stocks a copy of gta 3 or mass effect 1? Are they doing "gaming story time" at public libraries now?

Come back when your reading comprehension is better. I'm not addressing your straw men and feigned ignorance.
