He resigned his congressional seat for this. Why? I am honestly so disappointed.
Apparently he resigned from the current congress and not the upcoming one he was elected to. We'll have to see. I wouldn't hold my breath.
in the letter he did say he do not intend on taking the oath of office for the upcoming congress. Now can he take it? Don't know.
Also, Gaetz steps away the same day house democrats says they'll allow Trump to appoint 4 federal judges? Sounds like Trump anchored them with Gaetz.
I think the intent not to take office next term is just advisory, like go ahead and scramble to hold a special election and get somebody in there to start the Jan 3 term in case of important votes early on.
But if Gaetz is going to be in 2025 Congress after all they won't hold an election for somebody to serve a few days in a recessed Congress.
I am hoping the backup plan here is for DeSantis to appoint him as Rubio's replacement in the Senate.
Here is hoping, just seems like a tremendous waste of potential and political capital.
This is what I get for expecting anything out of the republican party.
He's probably getting something else in the Adminstration that he can be forced through on.
Nick Fuentes speculated that both the Gaetz AG nomination and his immediate resignation from congress was a deliberate ruse to kill the sexual relations with a minor/trafficking internal investigation if he wasn't a sitting Congressman anymore.

Do not assert a world-wide racial agenda.
Where in this post did I assert that it was world wide?
