I go to local, personally owned, farmer's markets and restaurants. I've literally had conversations with the owners who tell me I'm the primary source of income on several of their retail items. I'm keeping them afloat because they are my neighbors and community members. You should to. Change your economic habits to benefit the people around you and stop giving money to people who hate you. That's really all that even needs to be done. The biggest challenge is getting the government to stop stealing the money I can't save.
