The "rainbow flag" is gay nationalism the same way a 'black nationalist' uses a black fist.
It is intersectional nationalism; where states are not made up of multiple ethnos that form a nation, but identity categories that form an intersectional nation. What makes it Democratic is that the state is the intersectional nation. The people are the state and the state are the people.
