Female-to-male trannies aren’t “passing”. They are just receiving the same amount of special treatment as the average real man, which is virtually none. This treatment feels very different because these women are used to special treatment from dudes who want to fuck them. Turning yourself into an unfuckable freak isn’t “passing as a man”; they’re assuming the same causes because the outcomes are similar, but that’s not what’s happening. FTM trannies are invisible to men not because those trannies are passing as men but rather because those trannies have negative sexual market value.

Male to female trannies are less successful at “passing” for the same reason. They didn’t become female. They became unfuckable freaks, same as the FTM. It just so happens that’s how society treats most males by default.
