Elon is the most frustrating public figure maybe ever. He’s so close to being ourguy, but he constantly cucks out in the biggest moments. I chalk it up to his autism; he’s extremely suggestible.
I'd be surprised if Elon didn't have some form of 'tism. He wants to be liked but has zero filter, like regularly asking female employees if they want to have his babies and giving them stupid names when they're born.
His behaviour suggests some kind of autism which is probably a good thing that he's hanging out with Trump and MAGA so much recently.
This is a bad move, the only silver lining is if Trump wins this might actually backfire on Brazil in that now they're going to be alone on this while others are worried about dealing with Twitter when they have close ties to the sitting president.
It could be a form of malicious compliance as well. I'm not coping, I have no idea that this will be the case; but I do wonder if there is a mechanism where they are going to slow-walk any enforcement mechanism, or give obvious warnings, or even just refuse to ban non Brazilian accounts that are just repeater accounts. Kind of like how Trump makes Truth Social posts, and people just repost those on Twitter.
Actually... that's an interesting idea. Get the dissidents to use Truth Social.
Brazil was cracking down on all VPN access to stop Twitter so by censoring only from Brazil the Brazilians can still use VPN to see it uncensored, but now the state won't aggressively try to round up those VPN users.

That's the impression I get as well. He seems to say all the right things but always seems to bend the knee when push comes to shove.
Two phrases that I think are quite apt - "never meet your heroes" and "don't listen to what they say, watch what they do".

I suppose that's a silver lining.
