I've never downplayed it.

White Flight has nothing to do with Haiti. What happened in Haiti was a genocide. Genocides are impositions. White Flight is a choice by the victims to go to a better place. White Flight seems to be your particular bugaboo, but as demographic displacement goes, it's the least bad option.
