I was 90% certain, but I don't want to go accusing without catching something like that (which I missed). I also missed the boy on dad's lap has no leg or left arm.

So the wierdness of the kid's appearance makes sense, now its just somebody through "lots of kids + Americana/Norman Rockwell" into an AI thing.
