I mean, that little trick is probably 80% of protests you see in the news. Both Left and Right wing ones.
AoC literally went and looked sad for a photo op while staring over a parking lot pretending it was the border or a detention facility, nothing you see in the media is ever real anymore.
Frankly, the political right's activist infrastructure isn't nearly as good as the Democrats, let alone the Progressives. Honestly, the MAGA infrastructure is better than the Neo-Con infrastructure almost by default of the Neo-Cons basically having no ground game, and MAGA having only genuine ground game and hardly and career activists & organizers.
The majority of right-wing protests seem to be genuinely populated by interested parties with some minimal organization at a kind of middle level. Where as Democrats have a sophisticated multi-layers organizational level. Progressives represent grass-roots activists. Democrat NPC's represent the majority of the bulk of the people at protests. Both Progressives and Democrats have a multiplicity of life-long, career activists, and at the top are also life long career activists. Then you have secondary economic political activist structures. Sign makers, NGO volunteer organizations, protest organizers organizations recruiting members and looking for donations, media organizers, intelligence organizers, law enforcement contacts, etc, etc.
The problem here is that a lot of their NPC bulk are becoming disinterested, so the political-economic engine is slowing down. On the right, there's either the donor class elites (which are sending money to Dems), or the MAGA faithful who only started politics within the past 8 years.

You misunderstood me. I wasn't accusing the actual Right of faking its protests. I said in the news to illustrate that the ones you see the media actually reporting on are completely fabricated.
As in, all the "Right Wing Groups" that show up with perfectly creased new Flags, and lockstep uniforms, and literally no one knowing who they are. Ones that are hilariously fake and Fedbois, but are still parroted as the "Right Wing protesters" across it all.
Any real Right Wing protest isn't going to get news coverage, because that would both legitimize it and run the risk of people wrongthinking about it. But I can go outside and often see them happening in my town on their own against things like abortion and Covid on busy street corners and marching around.
Whereas all the Left wing gatherings in my town are "a teacher promised extra credit if you showed up" nonsense that nobody would know happened if the newspaper and local affiliates didn't cover it.
