RIP. Loved you as Vader and on the first Simpsons Halloween episode
It's amazing that the best adaptation of Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven" remains unironically a five-minute cartoon starring Darth Vader and Homer Simpson.

The bit with the clouds is pretty memorable.
And I loved how he said Kimba first. Also learned about Carole King thanks to that episode
I don't watch "The Simpsons" but whenever I see those early year episodes they slip on like old comfortable pants.

Old TV had enough respect for the audience to drop in references like that and assume they'd either know or ask someone who did.
The thing about good writing like on those Simpsons episodes is that catching a reference or background detail would often enhance the joke, but even if you didn’t catch everything the main bits were still strong on their own.
