I wonder how this will affect the COSMIC desktop since it was built on Rust and it looks pretty good. It'd be a shame that it gets its legs chopped off because of retards behind Rust.

Funny you mention Cosmic, considering the PopOS dude recently went on a tirade about how much he hates the Linux kernel and its devs.

You know, the guys that enabled your branded operating system that ships on your hardware. Fuck them, right?

I'm not that familiar with COSMIC but I don't believe that this would have any impact on a DE. Aside from Rust maybe falling out of favor, that is.
