They always talk about how that kang was one of the richest men in history, but they never say how he made his fortune.
I would actually enjoy seeing a movie about a slave owning society that isn’t western. Ideally it would open some eyes but I doubt it.
They made one last year about Dahomey, which literally went to war against Britain to try and keep the transatlantic slave trade open, but apparently the fact that they routinely raided neighboring tribes for slaves to sell was left out.
I heard about that. Surprisingly one critic called them out for ignoring their history of slavery. I just personally think it’s ridiculous so many in the west have been brainwashed to think that slavery is an invention of England.
