What would you recommend to someone who enjoyed Goblin Slayer, Campfire Cooking, Solo Leveling, and Rising Of the Shield Hero but didn’t care for Gurren Lagann, One Piece, or Seven Deadly Sins?

nah, the remake is more politically correct and it skipped the part about how the empire was formed because of the degeneracy of the old republic
Watch the OVA for the story and watch the remake for the better animation and action.
