This shouldn't be a surprise. Dude was shot on scene, and this is many hours later. Raiding this guys house and savaging his phones and internet devices became priority # 1, once POTUS was on the move. LE, themselves, are going to be looking for anyone else's involvement, or if there are even still multiple shooters on the way.
This isn't even the actual cover-up part. This is still just the basic police work.
Sure but thanks to the current environment and the fact they've been calling Trump Hitler for YEARS, authorities can't be surprised if they are under extreme scrutiny since this has happened to the point where they won't be able to take a shit without recording the time they did it.
I wonder if they'll magically pull a manifesto out of their rear ends that's just "As the average white american, since we all hold Nazi views and hat everyone that's not us, I'm upset that Trump wasn't right right enough" (maybe a few more buzzwords thrown in).
That would be so stupid since then you are clearly saying he hasn't got the support of 'Nazis and White supremacists' while on social media you have left wing nut jobs lamenting that the assassin missed.
You're confirming he isn't on ANY extremists side compared to the dems and THAT'S why they tried to assassinate him. It would be easier to admit he's a far left loonatic.
I've often worried about a "right-wing" patsy attempt like that happening. In that case it wouldn't be for PR purposes but to send a message to the target and his allies "we can get you at any time AND make you take the blame". Just enough plausible deniability for a media coverup. It would make about as much sense as the Jan 6th scam that they ran with for months. Those left wing nut jobs would be even more crazed because they'd be able to feel morally justified that a right-winger did it.
Sort of... It's odd that the shooter kept his ID on him. With explosives in the car I suspect his plan was to do the shooting escape in the car and then minecraft himself with the explosives. Why carry the ID? Amateur night I guess or he wanted people to know who he was. (although they could've ID'd him from the serial # on the rifle and the VIN on the car)
Still... isn't it odd that a 20 year old kid has almost no social media?

Not necessarily. Some people don't go to Social Media.
ok but who the fuck is that roadblock guy?
It could be any number of agencies.
If the feds show up, they can basically ask any local agency to block the road for them while they investigate.
It was probably county guys, but I would at least ask. that guy seemed evasive.
I'd be like "are you gonna shoot me if i go in there?" You know, clarify the situation. Without starting a fight.
