I actually wanted to believe Denzel was possibly based, since he has kept his opinions out of politics. Sad to see him go all in on a DEI role that absolutely no one on earth could not recognise as a DEI role.
Denzel is actually one of my favorite actors. I'm hard pressed to think of a movie he's in that isn't good (for now). But you're right, he doesn't seem good at anything that isn't "American black guy". He was good in Glory, but that was just him putting on another American black guy affectation, with a 'yessuh massah' twang. He's terribly miscast for portraying am ancient Roman, even if he's supposed to be Numidean or something (which probably didn't look like dark sub sarahans in real life btw).
I'm genuinely curious why he took this role. He seemed a lot more shrewd in his choices in the past. I'm wondering if he has a new, and shittier, agent
Lmao Denzel? The guy who literally can only do the one accent, as a Lanistarii?
They aren't even trying anymore lol. Is Ridley Scott even alive anymore or is there a guy in a black bodysuit puppeteering his corpse?
