The Dodgers won one of the most exciting games this year 8-5, even though Ohtani went 0-5 with 3 Ks (strikeouts) on his birthday.

The actual collab itself went perfectly, but the controversy is in the way that the merch was handled was really bad, as there was only one tent for all of the Hololive merch for the collab and the line for the event went all the way around the stadium, and was apparently the largest line for merch for a Dodgers collab in the history of the team. The line lasted for over six hours, from 5:30 PM PST until they finally stopped at 1:00 AM the next day. With Anime Expo being the same weekend, that helped boost the attendance, but I think overall the sheer enthusiasm that the line shows me is that vtubing becoming mainstream is an inevitability, and it's up to vtuber fans to identify 'tourists' and stop them from doing their bullshit.
Hololive's biggest controversy involves not enough space for merch to be distributed
Nijisanji's biggest controversies came close to having a body count...
I'd say the Taiwan stuff with Coco was their biggest controversy, but in other news, did you see that Mikeneko cosplayed as Rushia for Tanabata, the Japanese holiday for making wishes.
I feel awful for her, but she put herself in this situation. I just hope the rumors that she apparently joined Wactor/910 aren't true because I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemies.
Fucking hell, that CAN'T be true, sure she's the Amber Heard of the Vtuber space but that company is at least in the top 3 of black companies for Vtubers, only competing with one that wanted to use an UNDERAGED (think she was 15-16) girl to be behind a sexualized model and talk lewdly and another involved in tax scandals and suicide attempts

I am very much hoping this is not true, for her sake. She's genuinely already put herself through enough, but leaking to dramatubers has consequences.
I love this, but don’t forget that fucking gura was invited to dodger stadium after the like literally satanic drag show nuns. Fuck the dodgers

"Wow, only 6 hrs? This line is so short!" - t. Anyone who has ever attended AX.
I recently went to Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, Texas.
I stood in line for the most aggressive ride there, Dragon's Revenge, and it felt like I was in line for, bare minimum, 30 minutes. Possibly an entire hour.
I felt that just standing there was a complete waste of the experience, and the ride was fun, but not fun enough to make up for the wait.
Lines ain't worth it. Just have fun.
Yogi Berra had a paradoxical point: "It's so crowded, nobody goes there anymore."
"Nobody drives in New York City. There's too much traffic."
You can always tell whose never been to an anime con before by their wild expectations.
I've been to a few. Met Greg Ayres, Jessica Calvello and (of all people) Lewis "Linkara" Lovhaug at one, John Swasey at another--in fact, Swasey RAN the latter con, Anime Houston.
The lines were never THIS bad.
If you didn't know, John Swasey was the second voice of Gendo Ikari, and Greg Ayres was young Kensuke Aida in the Rebuilds. Though this was before I watched Eva or the movies.
The handful I went to you basically had to be in the room from the moment the event opened if you wanted to make it in for any "main" event at 6pm.
Though the ones I went to had a lot bigger names than yours. No hate on any of them, but this was guys like Vic during the FMA days or the DBZ guys while they were just finishing off the original dub run. Which meant people had to basically be inside each other the crowds were so big.
I saw some twatter posts about it. It's crazy how big this was, I wonder what uncle Joey who has no connection to any of this thinks though. "too much beer" I guess.
Probably "huh, these new kids shows are weird".
