27 Eddie Murphy felt David Spade joke about him and his Vampire in Brooklyn film was due to racism (archive.ph) posted 139 days ago by Mpetey123 139 days ago by Mpetey123 +27 / -0 19 comments share 19 comments share save hide report block hide replies
Falling star? In 1995?
Two Eddie Murphy movies I really like came out after 1995.
The remake of The Nutty Professor, and a version of Dr. Doolittle. Check them out sometime, especially the former.
The joke wasn't made in 1996, it was made in 95 after a run of Another 48 Hrs, Boomerang, and Beverly Hills Cop 3, and Vampire in Brooklyn. Clearly his star power was wanning.
Okay, after that string of flops, fine, I get it.
No one gave a crap about John Travolta for over a decade between Saturday Night Fever and Pulp Fiction, either.
