They stole "based" Now i've seen the wokes stealing the word "tourist" whenever an actual fan complains about wokeness in pop culture .

Nope. As u/chaosbydesign said, it was a dig at people for thinking that they were such a special little unique snowflake. It was later that people started using it to mean "fragile."
