But pointing out their double standards actually does help with their rank-and-file and with normies. Even the most die-hard normies laugh at their hypocrisy, particularly when it is brought with humor.
The problem most of the normies have is not a worship of power, though it's effectively that, but a Gestalt state. Disproving one element of their worldview doesn't switch it around, nor should you expect it too, as you wouldn't become a die-hard Senile advocate if someone disproved one of your beliefs. You should just increase the number of anomalies so that, like in a Kuhnian scientific revolution, they start to question their priors.

To be fair, in this instance I'm not trying to tell people how they should or should not argue.
I'm merely venting my frustration regarding these people, and what they've done.
