Its hugely popular with e-thots. Like, I'm fairly certain the entire playerbase is e-girls, their simp army, and guys who hope to get noticed by some e-thot while playing.

You can go on tiktok (don't actually) and see infinite posts by girls talking about playing it constantly. It seems to have replaced Overwatch and League as the "what basic bitches play" game.
