Pretty sure nothing happens. They literally need permission from the state government to secede, and that ain’t happening.
No one is voting their way out of leftist tyranny. You’re only choices are life on your knees or <redacted>.
This is true, but public votes for secession are still important. Gathering the like minded and drawing battle lines is critical for the future.

What kind of secession requires consent of the ruler?
It took that town in Louisiana almost a decade to split from the capital. So I'm guessing 25+ years to split a state unless something drastic happens.
