As I’ve mentioned before, I’m a big fan of the pre Disney Star Wars Expanded Universe books and comics. I find it interesting they wanted nothing to do with the EU and thought it was smart to alienate myself and all the other fans who faithfully bought the books and spent time in forums, but they seem to keep mining it for content and even more interesting they don’t want to turn their crappy High Republic into a tv series.
Of course we could play a drinking game for when we hear “updated for modern audiences”, “i never played KOTOR”, or showcase the diverse cast
It will be shit.
Either they change Revan into a woman, completely ignoring all the material after where he was a man like his subsequent child with Bastila Shan and later descendants Satele Shan and her own son, Theron, from SWTOR, or they make him a man and piss off the various nutcases who want their own game pic/headcanon to be the adaptation option.
Considering modern adaptations and especially Star Wars ones you can fully expect if Revan does end up stiil being a man then he will be sidelined in his own story and any and all women in the show will take the spotlight, just like in The Witcher, Obi-Wan, and various others.
You'll be dead before the show actually airs.
I could totally see them gender swapping Revan. Or the shills crapping on KOTOR and praising Disney
Oh, even worse. I'm betting they'll try to insert a tranny narrative. The memory loss part of it, and sense of a "new life" or "new identity" will make it almost impossible for the writers to resist.
The worst part is, even if they don't "modern audience" it to death, they'll still hire a director and writers for their diversity cred instead of talent and the show will be garbage.
Reminder: they don't make stuff woke because they think people will like it, they make stuff woke so that everyone is too busy complaining to realize they've done a shit job everywhere else.
That Sweet Baby inc cofounder bragged about why they inject woke shit; to force their political views on mainstream culture. She likened it to making a fussy child eat vegetables. If you only give the consumer what they actually want, you can't use media as a vehicle for social change.
That happens for a reason. Children can't digest the same foods as adults yet and so their bodies literally try and reject/avoid things like brassica plants, cabbage, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, broccoli, etc because children physically can't handle the levels of glucosinolates in them until older. Forcing children to eat those can unironically result in poisoning them.
Step 1: put a chick in it
Step 2: make her gay and lame
Step 3: ?
