People are quoting things he never said and even when proven wrong they do mental gymnastics to tell themselves they're still right because the internet and media said it.

The Kyle Rittenhouse incident and trial.
They perpetuated the "he shot 3 black men" hoax for years that should've been stopped in its tracks by a trio of photos.
One of them was still alive and a
defenseprosecution witness at the trial!... and he admitted to Kyle not shooting or even aiming at him until after he pointed a handgun (that he was illegally carrying) at him.
A reminder Gaige gestured to surrender to Kyle before then pulling that handgun, which is a warcrime.
Still one of my favorite court room moments.
Pretty sure I mentioned this on here before, but for me the biggest incident was the Sandmann incident. A guy I know was talking about how terrible those kids were, I told him that Phillips started the whole thing, and the guy accused me of lying saying the media said Sandmann and his friends were responsible. I then linked him the video of the incident, showing Phillips instigated it and his response was "I don't have time to watch that"
It really is willful ignorance among many of these people.
