I realise this is a weird topic to bring up but as people know I'm always advocating people make their own stuff these days to decouple themselves from woke content plus if you find that you enjoy it it's great fun and really rewarding. I would much rather spend hours on this than even paying attention to any of the utter shit popping up on trending pages these days and it will be my primary form of escapism.
One way I have been seriously upping my art game is speed running Ryan King Art tutorials. The best part is his channel isn't dead and he keeps on adding stuff which is nice to see that he's keeping going with it. He has some modelling tutorials but a big part of his focus is on procedural materials and if you go through them you can make some absolutely amazing stuff very much on par with AAA content in terms of texturing. Then of course if you want to add little detail and scratches or make it a bit more unique you could potentially use texture paint which Blender has the capability for.

Currently I've been looking at his greeble stuff and I'm also looking at snow/sand as that would make it relatively straightforward to make some short films without having to model crap tons of vegetation. His tutorials aren't for beginners obviously but if you're looking to 'get gud' the procedural materials in particular are fantastic. Bearing in mind you will be needing cycles because he makes heavy use of bump and displacement to get those shiny details in so make sure you've got the PC for it.
His videos are reminding me I really need to have a look at geometry nodes sometime because I've barely looked at that. He's seriously got every single material you can think of you might need. I want to settle down with the rocky desert tutorial because my scenes have been lacking in colour and are a bit too dark even for space.
Not a weird topic. Guerrilla game dev needs to be as common as it was it was in the early 2000s.
The dawn of a golden age, destroyed by oogle and facepalm.
not many people know it, but Blender also has a good non-linear video editing mode, color correction and color grading tools, and a good compositor.
That sounds like fun. Though, I have been doing Blender guru's tutorials for some time. It seems that this guy might go more into the basics of more advanced functions.
That's where I started as well. The donut project is the equivalent of hello world in blender.
Ah, I suspected that I was missing something. I did note that he hasn't gone over things like symmetrical modelling/editing, at least in the part I got to.
Im doing blender animations, but mostly rule34 related hehe.
Yeah, ive seen a few of his vids. He did some boob jiggle videos.

Blender is amazing. I started learning it for 3D printing but it can do so many other things.
Hey, man, it's been four months since the last update on your Odysee channel. Maybe you can share some of your l33t Blender skillz with us. I could do with a chuckle.
I know you're probably being a prick but I ditched Odysee ages ago because of various things that were cropping up with that platform and I post regular updates on Rumble now.

Blender animations are going to be a fun side thing for me, my main project is by the gods. Currently doing lots of debugging work on by the gods in preparation for 0.1 release.
Well, I'll be. I had no idea. I'll change my bookmarks right away.
LOL okay I won't be mad that was funny, it seems I have to be more annoying with my shilling or something because it's amazing how many people here seriously don't keep an eye on things even with the mods being nice enough to give me my own sticky. What does it take? Do I have to be like Raid Shadow Legends and pester you with sponsorship and ad pop ups everywhere?
At the very least when 0.1 comes out and I have something proper to show I will probably get a bit spammy.
Edit: Just updated the thread properly and erased any irrelevant junk, should all be neater now.
LETHN SHADOW LEGENDS!
That's the wrong link, FYI.

Also, you should probably update your links in the sticky you mentioned.
oops yes I'll update things, thanks.
