Because he is weirdly pushed as some leader and major influential figure on the Right.

Now I've never met a single person who takes him seriously, but he does get invited and associated with major things and clearly has power somehow to get these connections and strings to pull.

So either he is an actual plant/shill/puppet for someone trying to manipulate. Or he actually does have massive power to all ongoing political discussions, and should be held to task for his continual fuckups.
