Their community manager, after days of snarky "I thought you were leaving bro bye!!" comments, finally did a full 180 after having that pointed out to him.
So now its full paragraphs of "we are realizing it might be a bad idea and all the devs also hate it too!" once they were told that's a thing. So its full damage control using that hill as a scapegoat.
I don't understand how these people aren't fired immediately. The correct response is, "we're sad to lose you as a customer and hope that you'll be back sometime in the future." But community managers in this industry mostly like to dunk on customers and exhibit the toxic behavior that that they accuse everybody else of. (Yes, rule #2: SJWs always project.)
Its even worse because since dealing with that in a positive and productive manner is literally the entire job of a community manager.
Wendy's Twitter has unironically ruined our entire society.
At this point you have to assume their opinions do in fact represent those of the company/devs.
If it was overwatch, theyd be reported and banned rofl.
At this point I think community managers should be treated the same as journalists, politicians, pedophiles (that aren't also politicians), and other forms of humanoid filth.
I think worse, because unlike those, which are either jobs or paraphillic fetishes, a CM is almost always a janny who does it for free that gets an official hat and still does it for hotpocket level pay.
*chicken tendies
Devs have been snarky assholes about everything, it went from edgelord hilarity to “oh they aren’t joking” really fast.
