Susie Wiles is credited with the Trump campaign's effectively ruthless destruction of Ron DeSantis in the 2024 GOP primary.
One thing that caught my eye is that Susie Wiles has a long history of being a successful political operative for the establishment GOP politicians in Florida.
By helping Trump win Florida in 2016 and 2020, she won his trust and he has her running his 2024 presidential campaign.
The main concern I have about Susie Wiles is whether she is an establishment infiltrator.
She is undoubtedly excellent at her job.
Ron DeSantis surely was a fool when he made an enemy out of her.
She can help Trump win but Trump is surely putting a lot of trust into someone who was completely GOP establishment.
Alvin Bragg should be credited with the destruction of Ron DeSantis in the primary.
Ron DeSantis should be credited with the destruction of Ron DeSantis in the primary. Anyone who thought they could take out Trump and get the Republican nomination is delusional.
DeSantis was done for the instant he announced he was running. And even worse, he would have been a shoe-in for 2028, but now that is far from guaranteed. He should fire every single person who told him that running this year was a good idea. They are either completely out of touch with the base, or maliciously wanted him to commit political suicide.

It might have been possible and not even that hard, just none of them had the balls to do it.
Match Trump 1:1 in being loud, straight forward, and charismatic.
Take all his good positions on topics. Keep his momentum on stuff like criticizing the press.
Go after him for being all talk. "I'll get the border secured instead of talking about how beautiful my wall would be."
Eviscerate him over the vax, his shitty choices in advisors, etc.
Be 15-20 years younger.
Stable, traditional family.
Bonus points if veteran.
You have to match him as a boisterous populist and then hit his weak spots; basically be Trump if Trump were effectual. Only Vivek came close to trying to play it right, everyone else was basically some flavor of trad/neocon we're all familiar with and sick of. I don't think he, personally, stood a chance but it was the right tactics at least.

Trump keeps breaking political laws. Normally, a losing candidate (yeah, yeah) would never be able to win re-nomination. Imagine Dukakis running in 1992.
And even worse, he would have been a shoe-in for 2028,
Yeah, I don't know about that. People said that about Fat Fattie when he didn't run in 2012 against Obama, because he thought he'd have a better chance in 2016. Turns out, he lost his moment.
It's easy to predict events that were in the past. I thought DeSantis running was OK but winning wasn't (because Trump would run as 3rd party). But you can easily think of scenarios where it would have been a good idea. Trump is a quite... large man in his late seventies marked for destruction by the political elites. He could die, of natural causes or not, he could be taken out with lawfare. Better Ron than Neocon Nikki.
Then you know damn well that he didn’t "lose". So does the entire base. That's why they are so fired up.

In the past my ass. MAGA voters could all see it coming from day one. The fact that you and DeSantis couldn't see it is on you.
marked for destruction by the political elites.
There is the evidence that DeSantis was doomed right in front of you. Trump is and always has been the "fuck you" vote to those "elites". As long as he continues to piss off all the right people, nobody is going to beat him on the Republican side. The only way he loses is if the establishment cozies up to him like they did to McCain, GWB, and Romney. As long as they are making every possible move to stop him, his base will never abandon him.
Same basic setup too. Serve 4 years. Lose to a guy who proceeds to run the economy into the ground. Run again against the now-incumbent he'd lost to. Win.
You're right about it being rare, but there is precedent.
That's true. I'd admit William Jennings Bryan as well, though you seem to have read that as 'a sitting president who lost'. I'll enjoy media heads explode when they say that Trump is the first president since Grover Cleveland to win non-consecutive terms.

Ah, such a shame that other guy didn't have the foresight to just have 91 indictments issued against Cleveland.

What do you guys think about Susie Wiles?
Then we're screwed, because I can't think of anything more stupid than calling a guy "Ron DeSanctis" and "Meatball Ron" and siding with Disney.

If she didn't sink him in 2016 and 2020, she won't do it now... I assume.

I was hoping someone would pick up on that.

why is trump's most important advisor not a man
Sounds like she dropped her family name of 'E. Coyote' at some point.
