Bauer seems self absorbed but the dude is a nerd. Stereotypical jocks don't miss games because they got hurt fixing drones.

Self-absorbed, yes that was exactly the word I didn’t have in my head when I was thinking of him!

It’s not personal or anything, if it was I’d want him crushed under even false accusations. I wouldn’t be shocked if he was actually a nice guy in the right context, just because he’s interested in things other than sports also.
