In 1940 a black guy wrote a book about the Commies trying to use black people as a weapon, while not caring about them.
Do you happen to remember his name? I know exactly who you're talking about, and it was pretty dang based, but I don't recall the name.
He called out various "pro-black" organizations at the time of essentially selling blacks down the river, as I recall. Shit was great.
Richard Wright, the book was Native Son.
Thanks. I'll have to look him up, as that's not who I was thinking of. I'm trying to look it up, apparently there are more people who fit that bill than I thought. Leonard Patterson is another one, but also not who I'm thinking of.
It really is a shame that white people were robbed of even the concept of racial solidarity, by and large. These black men didn't turn against communism because they didn't think it was good overall, they turned against it because they realized it was lying to them, that they were being used, and that it wasn't good for black people. They realized they, as a people, were betrayed. A large percentage of white people would and do justify white people being betrayed.
I'm not a fan of racialism in general, but I am totally in favor of groups looking after their own interests. And, also, if everyone else can have it, those that don't have it are often fated for destruction.
I think I found it. Manning Johnson, Color Communism and Common Sense. He absolutely eviscerates those he views as taking advantage of his people. Ridiculously brutal.
Someone else talking about him. Interesting quote..."the communists declared that the racial differences among our people constituted the weakest and most vulnerable point in our social fabric..."
I’ve been looking for that book. They play a speech he gives in Uncle Tom 2.
