That’s the funny thing about diversity and representation. If a non-white character behaves “white”, then it isn’t genuine representation. But if genuine representation means the character must be an insufferable feminist cunt or a ghetto black retard, then sign me up for no diversity.
The implied premise of identity politics is that certain values are inherent to certain identities. A white character can’t present a relatable experience for a black audience, yes? But if ideas and values are inherent to identities, and some ideas and values are better than others, then some identities are better than others.
This is how supremacist ideologies get off the ground.

Acting "white" has been a massive cause of bullying amongst the black community for decades. That's not identity politics, that's people literally believing that acting smart and talking proper makes you not-black anymore.
For once, this wasn't the Left poisoning their little pet negros, its something the Left learned from them.

I'm not white or black, but the thought that a character needs to be the same color as you hadn't even crossed my mind until they started screaming about it non-stop 10 years ago. It still seems bizarre to me.
By the way, it is funny that these militant activist sort of people always say that they want to see people "who look like me". So... people look like them if they are black - all blacks look alike. That is one of the many statements that you can say if you're on one side and not when you're on another side.

Ironically the "No true Scotsman" fallacy.
