Worst thing is how it's affected web crawlers. It was always easiest to use a search engine to find stuff because twitter's search is ridiculous. Now they don't let crawlers pull the latest content. It has content from some accounts but others you can only search posts from last year. It's almost as bad as Instagram.
Musk pretty much lied about turning the site around (this is a given though, don't put full faith in any man who's wealth puts him in the top 0.1%)
At the current rate, it will most likely end up being the shithole as always it was before where "free speech" is completely subjective, however tweets may be actively suppressed and users will be paying to access the site. Sounds like a dead venture to me.
Elon seems intent on preventing tweets getting outside his walled garden so if you can no longer archive tweets, that would not surprise me.

It really just puts me off even more from caring about what happens on Twitter since I refuse to make an account.
You might be able to use Poast's nitter and then archive that.
Don't know, good question, though.

i mean it's much better now than when it was a leftist paradise. but it is a monkey paw.
Same here, tried to archive one yesterday and just got a "Nothing here?" error.
