This is true, but in all seriousness, I think this a typical black hat glowie op where they know what they're doing dances on the line of illegality because it's a psyop on their own citizens. As a result they seem to make fairly heavy use of private contractors they pay incredibly well to maintain silence on what they're doing and feign ignorance regularly as a defence.
I do agree with people who say the reaction from media outlets etc. always means you're over the target. However I do think there's more to it than that and it's part of the op where they try to gaslight the fuck out of gamers especially over the issue. They keep underestimating though the level of autism they're up against and probably didn't anticipate everyone uncovering Sweet Baby Inc. and their contracting behaviour as well as old enemies being involved.
