This mentality, while coming from a genuine place, becomes a detriment to good folk. For example, it's enabled conservatives to feel good about minor victories in a war they've been losing for decades. It's good to praise what is worthy to be praised, but no good man can lose sight of the totality of truth, else he be swallowed by lies.
