"I'm forty-years-old and the secret to my 'wrinkle-free skin' (ahem) is totally not make-up/bizarre camera angles/studio lighting, but a moisturizer that recently came on the market!":')
If the "Raid Shadyman" sponsorships sweeping the internet didn't hammer it home yet I don't know what to tell you.
It's an open secret that all sponsored ad breaks are (hopefully begrudging) exercises in self-debasement and entirely ingenuine. They're a tax on idiots and marketers, two decidedly not mutually-exclusive groups, taken in lieu of a full-time internet videographers' dignities.
TL;DR Ad breaks are bullshit and most content creators only expect retards to watch them.
Honestly that's not even the weirdest shit that he's put in his ads, I just find it cheeky he's only done a 7 minute odd video and a good portion of it is his ad read. The other one he and I think info wars was doing too was this stupid looking vitamin supplements from a supplier who knows and I'm thinking to myself "You really are down to the wire if that's the only thing that you can do for an ad read".
I don't have much sympathy to be honest, the smarter youtubers like Count Dankula picked something new to go with and they've moved a bit beyond political commentary so they're doing quite well for themselves. The same thing is happening with the lotus eaters, I don't always like their segments but it's almost like they're styling themselves as a proper news organisation now which makes me hope they'll do some on the ground reporting and show up the the other studios big time.
Quite a few of these guys like to pretend it's just youtube's fault for shadowbanning them and it partly is to be fair. However I frequently maintain that explicitly anti-woke stuff has gotten cringe now and doesn't have the audience it used to especially if it's political commentary when I could look at an average comments page and even with people getting banned there are still going to be users calling out leftists.
He's shilling for make-up for men.
I don't think you understand what make-up is.
