they left it uncensored for years and now they censor it , but no one had a problem with it before but now there's suddenly a problem with it?
A big problem is that they literally showed us they can take a title they sold us and censor and tamper it as they please later down the road.
Who can assure us that they won't censor in a couple of years the beach costume of Tifa for example? Who can assure us they won't tamper and censor this game as well once they made all the money they wanted from the sales?
Also
Capcom did the same stuff by adding a malicious drm to a number of old games just to fight modding.
I can't really support companies that pull this kind of bs, it's not trustworthy anymore in my books.
BTW you can't convince me that this outfit https://files.catbox.moe/wgh9rr.jpg wasn't internally censored , i've never seen a top like that with something under it before, its obvious that it originally was just the black top and someone from the ethics department came along and censored it.. Don't forget the ethics department was also the ones who demanded the devs restrict the breasts of default Tifa design as well which is why the default Tifa design is also censored compared to the OG Tifa.
its obvious that creators create something in square and then the wokes and merchants in suits in square come along and make woke demands and censorship, seems to me there's infighting between actual gamers who create games in square and woke merchants in square
Good insight honestly, this is top down from the C-suite to the cultural police hires to the developers.
Reminds me of something I heard from a Japanese artist who did some work in Hollywood. They talked about how in Japan things were largely left up to the artist to create their own works, with some guidance, but when he worked with Hollywood the execs would constantly be asking for this or that minor detail to be changed for their own reasons.
That shows a difference between Japanese and American industry, at least the media industry. Japanese industry is high trust and, in general, competent. American media industry is low trust despite, or because of, everybody knowing everybody else. It's basically just a grift with a lot of control freaks and busy bodies.
The Japanese industry used to be like that .Free, high trust and meritocracy based. . But now it's becoming clear that it's becoming like the American industry and artists are no longer allowed to create their own works without woke executive meddling.
