Its not an uncommon thing in media, so its entirely possible it was done by a retarded edgelord trying to feel cool and powerful.
But, given all the circumstances around this it almost certainly is just to make sure the motive was known by their handlers.
Checks out with how the Rainbow Reich has flags (not just the BBQ flag but Twitter flags), colors, names, pronouns, and clothes that all try to scream “Individual.” It’s pure narcissistic attention seeking.
