I know some raggare. Yeah, some of them are dickheads, but some (adult, rural ones, at least) have been among the nicer people I have met in this miserable, wet, bizarrely conformist country...
Also, for full disclosure, I was at that performance, in the video. I got dragged to Mello (the contest from which Sweden selects its Eurovision entry for the year), by a girl I am currently seeing here...
It's mostly pretty banal and "meh", tbh. It looks much more interesting on tv, for the most part (which is what it is made for, after all!). Fröken Snusk (her name, also a reference to snus, which are the disgusting tobacco mouth pillows that are ridiculously popular here) was the only one to bother putting any actual energy or "fun" into her performance rather than "men bad, world scary and bad" lol, so no wonder the moral prudes of this country hated it so much, lololol...
Haha I mean, I tried doing the "Suedi" thing for a little while, but then I realized that the less fucks I gave about "conforming" or playing into the weird social expectations here, the more people would gravitate to me, tbh... Especially the women. Because dear lord there are a lot of cowardly men, here...
"Stare at the ground and never make direct eye contact. Never let the other person think you have a stronger handshake than them." - Yeah, that ain't me, lol...
But yeah, I think her whole thing is taking the piss, as it were, judging by articles such as this one (about the songwriter, and the identity of the singer herself):

That is what they don't like, vis a vis the pink barbie plastic horse schtick. Because, shock horror, someone might be "offended", and we can't have that in our precious Sweden, oh no...
I also saw that one live. Man was it cringe. Linkin Park for Generation Alpha, let's say. Complete with an aesthetic straight out of Metal Gear Solid or something (yes, really)...

Yeah, that wasn't great. I will say, I've enjoyed some of their other stuff, though, actually, although I completely agree it can have that early 2000's style whiny pop rock thing a bit too much.
Also, I'd say they often have a positive message, with gets points from me.
Not to everyone's taste, for sure (including not to mine, on much of their stuff), but I'll stick up for them; they've got some good stuff too, and are pretty fun.

Hey, now you know why our movies have depression as a standard. A decline socialist state in which the state crush all slowly, you got to keep black humor to survive or alchol :D
Well, Mello is a shit tradtion, which is not going to improve with the globohomo.
The raggar culture is alright but it is in decline...
Yeah, Stockholm suburbs are unironically some of the bleakest places I've ever seen, hahaha...
How did anyone think that taking somewhere already awful like Skarpnack or Rinkeby, and shoving them full of poorly integrated immigrants, would end at all "well"..?
I don't mind Gothenburg so much, though. Malmo was just... Meh. Didn't really see so much crime. It just felt quiet and ugly (except the old parts of the city) and boring, lol...
I haven't been north of Vastmanland yet, though, so maybe I haven't seen the really depressing rural parts yet, but yeah, I can see why you guys have a drinking problem, ahahahaha...
All that repressed emotion isn't good for anyone, imho.
Hey now, the youth is replacing the drinking problems with drugs and suicide, that's an improvement since it goes outside the governments control (the government mandated alcohol store) xD

Gothenburg is suppose to be the more fun or joyful swedish culture, the further north the stereotype is of even less communications xD, But I can't confirm that since i'm not hanging around alot there
Malmo, i think is more about the open selling of drugs and just the general corruption and cluture clash.
You got to understand sweden is a socialist state which adored USSR, Brutalist architecture was quite popular to use when building the new poor comunities.

Well, the propaganda said it worked with the Finns, and since all culture are equal except when it is not, what would be the problem? xD
More seriously, the conformist culture demanded that you do not question this, vanity of looking good goes over all else when it comes to high/middle class culture. Results matters less but everyone's voice need to be heard as long as it is correct. etc.
For context, this is the girl: https://archive.is/akfis
This is Raggare (it's a subculture here, which I had no idea about, before I arrived): https://archive.is/KHYNQ
And this is the music genre: https://archive.is/2p94T

Sweden is odd. Let's just say that much...
Your 'adventures' alone in Sweden confirmed it as odd....
It's funny that the 'barbie asthetic' one is getting the most hate apparently, from last year alone they should know that's the trend
Now we need something nuclear related to balance it with during Eurovision, Ukraine's entry then?

For balance, this is one of her main Mello rivals: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAQXyG1QK60

But check out All Eyes on You, and Wake Up (lol, that video), and Vanguard.

Oh no it broke.
Restart bamboozler1.exe
Haha this made me cackle, I won't lie...
Something to do with my internet connection/browser, I think.
Will fix it!
