I think there's several reasons for it.

1. People are incredibly comfortable. I know life is getting progressively harder, with increased taxation, inflation, work hours, and the world becoming more insane, but relatively speaking, people have all their needs met. We're coming off the high end of incredibly Western civilizational success. Abundance and safety abound. When civilizations rise, people attempt to erect barriers between themselves and nature, in an attempt to protect their loved ones, and so society can progress onto new endeavors. However, over time people acclimate to these new comforts, which dulls them. This is when civilization peaks and begins its descent. Comfortable people don't riot or revolt (at least with White people). Western civilization, however, is headed toward collapse, with increasing acceleration, which is going to take away this comfort.

2. Nature, which is inlaid with truth, naturally weeds out stupidity. With the numerous barriers we erect against nature, preventing this weeding out process, especially in successful civilizations, it enables stupidity to grow. The greater the number and type of barriers, the greater the stupidity will be allowed to grow, until the weight of it collapses civilization in on itself. Civilizational collapse will also quickly weed out this stupidity. Inability to speak the truth, cowardice to weak enemies, not protecting your own people, these are all forms of stupidity, because they invariably harm and kill anyone who does it.

3. As civilizations peak, their comforts rise, and so too do people's feeling that they don't need other people. This is why apathy is so rampant. We need other people to achieve things greater than we can do on our own, and to pursue mutual goals. The most important, and first mutual goal is survival. This is why tribes of people that live close to nature (little to no barriers), are so close knit and almost impossible to break, except through overwhelming outward force. Civilizations rise precisely because such tribes grow and prosper, as the people are close, care about one another, and know they need each other. All groups of people, regardless of size, pursuit, or location, align along homogeneous, collective traits and goals. Anyone saying "diversity is our strength" means they intentionally want to break up the social cohesion and purpose of the group, usually for the purpose of exerting greater authoritarian control over the people. When civilizations peak, all of people's needs are taken care of by others, often people they don't see or interact with, so people begin to believe they don't need each other. Apathy for their fellow man abounds. This even explains every day occurrences like how many people are uncaring assholes on the road. Why be courteous to others when you don't care about any of them? This too, leads to collective inaction, even when the collective is threatened, because people stop caring about collective interests. Even people on the mainstream political right have the wrong idea, because they're just as controlled as the left, thinking that collectivism, in any form, is wrong. They think individualism, by itself, is somehow meritorious, when in reality it's self destructive. Reality meets in the middle, between individualism and collectivism.

4. The rise of civilizations also leads to increased numbers of distractions and hedonistic pleasures. Sugar, junk food, junk TV and entertainment, useless hobbies, video games, porn, prostitution, all manner of degenerate sexual endeavors. While they may arise from a needed pursuit of rest and relaxation, civilizations toward the peak grow them in too much abundance, and in malignant forms. They're also usually taken over by subversive, corrupting forces within societies who use them as control mechanisms, to keep people "happy", complacent, and inactive.

5. As civilizations rise, the need for others diminishes, the homogeneous ties degrade, and it becomes easier for subversive, corrupting forces to infiltrate the group and twist it for their own ends. This is usually when tyrants reign, in one form or another. This is also why the West is controlled from the top down by people that all have the same ideologies, and they hate us. This corruption takes many forms, and subverts all the aspects of society that were built to maintain order, to enact justice, to pass laws, to protect the people, to prevent this very corruption from taking place. Even entertainment, which is supposed to be used to give commonality to the people, to tell us pertinent stories, pass on traditions, teach lessons, espouse heroic virtues, to inspire, even these are corrupted, which is why modern entertainment is so hollow, degenerate, and destructive, to keep us divided, apathetic, demoralized, humiliated, propagandized, weakened, and inactive. When the corruption takes hold, it prevents the people from acting in mutual self defense, through the ancillary institutions it takes control of, preventing the people from utilizing the tools formerly meant to help them. The people in power also know that the best way to control people is to give them a false choice. The mainstream right wing, all across the West, is a false choice trap, to keep people from moving further right, seeing the truth, or realizing effective solutions to the problems we face. The false right is meant to give people the illusion of resistance, when in reality it's just as controlled and curated as the openly globalist left. The mainstream right even adheres to the same base level control mechanisms as the left, censors the same info, and views White people with the same disdain. This corruption can usually only be rooted out through violent means, during a collapse or right after, once most of their power structures have collapsed.

6. As corruptive forces take root in society, they begin to slowly implement their own propaganda, replacing truth for their lies. The greater the corruption, the greater the lies and propaganda, and also the greater in quantity and frequency of the propaganda. Propaganda is meant to make people believe things they normally wouldn't (lies), to prevent them from seeing the obvious truth, which is why propaganda has to be pushed regularly, to keep people believing the lies. It can be argued that good people can use propaganda, but I don't define it that way, since truly good people will espouse truth, which is never propaganda. In any case, the people in power, the subversive corruptors, are evil and hate us. They know that they have to brainwash us at an early age. Yuri Bezmenov, a former KGB agent that defected to the West, warned us that the first thing communists do to subvert a country is take control of the schools and education. This is exactly what happened, as schools, colleges, teaching curriculums, and even school textbook publishing was taken over by these people, decades ago. As an example, Ghislaine Maxwell's dad (both Mossad agents and financed by Israel) took over Maxwell Publishing decades ago. Pretty much everything we've been taught, since childhood, is either a lie or hugely manipulated. This propaganda we're taught in schools is then reinforced with propaganda put out by Hollywood and the government, to keep us tied into the machine.

With White people, we're taught to hate ourselves, our ancestors, what they and we accomplished, to feel guilt for things we either didn't do, or that other people did in much greater number, or that everyone back then did, often worse than us. The two biggest aspects of this propaganda arrayed against White people was slavery and the Civil War, and the Nazis and WW2. Both are used as bludgeons against White people, often taken wildly out of context or are complete lies. Many people, even on the right, continue to believe the lies they were told about these events, and thus are still plugged into the system's false paradigm. These events also act as a false religion, with their own version of the "true evil", which is just White people, especially if we collectivize, the people harmed by this true evil, which is all non-whites and jews, and strict adherence to the religious teachings must be followed or you're excommunicated (have your life ruined). This is why non-whites and jews are sacrosanct in the corrupted West, as any criticism of them is verboten and tied directly to racism and antisemitism, to slavery and Nazis. Even right wingers call White nationalists "Nazis", not realizing they're using their own enemies own words, arguments, and propaganda against their brothers. They're not just shooting themselves in the foot. They're unknowingly but actively working for evil people who want to kill all of us.

Fortunately, though, Western civilization is going to collapse (a great many of us will still survive, though). I don't know what form it will take, but we're headed there. There are too many downward forces at play, natural and unnatural, pushing us toward this event. Collapse will take away all the excuses, distractions, barriers, propaganda, and corrupted power structures preventing us from effective action. It will suck, but it'll be necessary, as voting is largely useless now, and all the institutional power structures meant to protect the people are also corrupted. Personally, I think the removal of the propaganda from our lives will be the biggest and best step.

This isn't an all at once event, either. Civilizational collapse takes time, and we'll see symptoms of it long before the lights go out and the violence starts, and these symptoms will grow. For example, hyper inflation, people dropping out of society because it's no longer worth it, people forming their own parallel economies and communities separated from the the corruption and degeneracy, increasing numbers of parents homeschooling their children, increasing numbers of people rejecting the Hollywood propaganda, increasing numbers of people prepping, increasing numbers of people moving away from cities and looking into farming, gardening, and homesteading, increasing numbers of people openly rejecting the propaganda and espousing verboten opinions, even in the face of censorship, rampant inflation, loss of monetary value, increasing violence, loss of wars overseas, loss of interest in the people supporting the police and military, etc. Many of these things happened under the fall of Rome and Weimar Germany. We know what comes next. The only question is what the people in power will do to try and stop it, or more accurately, slow it down in a futile attempt to quell the fire from spreading.
