If we made realistic character design then all women in video games wouldn't be in fighting roles. It's like people don't understand what fiction is all about.
"No, but look at the historical examples of...no, strike that, please don't."
Seriously, though. You have to reach pretty damn far to put women in fighting roles, outside of fiction. And, even then, it's still a reach, just less of one. Archers? A lot of fiction puts women in these roles...but men are still much better due to significantly different upper body strengths. Up until you get to freaking magic, if you apply any level of reality, women aren't suited to such roles.
Ironically, the feminists, troons, and their ilk want to have it both ways. One of the main reasons there are so many fictional warrior women is because they're catering to a male audience. And yet they cry about "sexualization," and "unrealistic depictions," and the "male gaze." Those things are the only reason there even are those fictional women to begin with. As you say, if we were going just of what's realistic, we'd have no female warriors.
I’m at a point where I immediately lose all interest in a game if the protagonist is female and not fan service. If the female character model needs to be “realistic” aka ugly, old, ratchet, etc., then I’m not going to suspend my disbelief to accommodate a woman unrealistically dominating combat versus countless healthy adult male enemies. It’s insulting to the all of the men who have actually fought and died in battle throughout human history. I’ll tolerate the girl boss fantasy if the aesthetic and personality of the character appeal to me as a heterosexual man. Otherwise, I’m not interested, and I don’t care whether or not woke scolds approve my preferences.

I'd argue that's not "girl boss." That has a pretty specific meaning and, even in the rare occasions where girl bosses are actually attractive females, it's still a turn off. That said, yes, I can appreciate a competent, badass woman. Just not a "girl boss."

Agreed. Never care about what the woke scolds thing, unless you're ridiculing them or otherwise arming yourself against them.
No, no, they have a point. We ought to make sure that fictional women present themselves similarly to how the most popular female media figures present themselves in real life. Lets start with OnlyFans and Twitch.
Every video game should have an option in combat for the girl to offer to get nude and sleep with her opponent instead. Would be more accurate than her swinging a sword.
they do they just HATE men giving any attention or spending any resources on anything other than them. women are self-centered children who should never be listened to in any serious discussion.
