I'm kind of with you here, especially after seeing the paucity of details available in English.

As morally uncomfortable as it is to come to this guys' defense even in a hypothetical 'devil's advocate' manner, a wiser mind than those of our bandwagon woke-scold enemies will recall that, often, "The devil is in the details."

I pushed back because I vaguely recall that he got hit with only a fine as all of models were legal except for one (she was 15 or something?) or a few, which can be excused with an "oops, assumed they were all legal". I only just looked up again his result was but didn't dive into the details.

I don't have all the court case info either, but I see Western weeb media still going with the "naked teens" wordage. To my understanding, teens are between 13 and 18 (some say its 10-19, but eh...), where at least 16 is legal in Japan. So semantically, leftist weeb journalists can label him "convicted pedo" without any context, and drive-by readers end up making false assumptions if they don't dig into the story.

Personally, I'm really not into flat-chested (or less endowed) women, but if they're of age and some guy likes it, I can't screech "pedo".

I always thought "teen" was defined as thirteen to nineteen, because "teen" is at the end of every word for those numerical values. It's similar to how the name of every day has the word "day" at the end of it.

I'm splitting hairs here, but I usually think of the definition in relation to legal adulthood, which for some important rights and laws is 18 years of age. Technically 19yos are teenagers, but I refer to them as adults.

I...did not know that. Huh.
