It's because they ended their partnership with Pininfarina for some reason only god knows.

Now they have in house designers, they are making an SUV, and they split from Fiat as well.

Yeah, I heard about that, probably from you. That's really sad. Car design is weird in and of itself. There is a specific program for designing the car with mud.
