good, fuck journalists. the Lois Lane journalist who investigates and exposes the truth for the good of the world, and has the backing of a major newspaper, has been dead for at least 20 years. quite frankly, I don't think it ever actually existed.
fuck all of you for warmongering and helping our governments justify pointless wars to feed the military industrial complex.
fuck all of you for colluding to pick and choose winning and losing businesses because someone """smarter""" than you told you so.
fuck all of you for participating in the medical industrial complex pushing bunk science that's profitable.
but most of all, fuck all of you for abandoning actual fucking journalism by being glorified bloggers instead of actually investigating anything or having any sort of integrity.
I know on the grand scale of things all of that is pretty fucked but to me I think what affected me on quite a personal level was seeing how individually these journalists would go out of their way to ruin peoples' lives who just said something they didn't like.
Not just a case of, oh lets write something shitty about them even though they did plenty of that. Depending on how bad they were they would stalk people to their homes and try to write full on libel about them to get them killed or attacked. This is why I think it's perfectly fine in this instance to celebrate them going unemployed when usually it's bad karma just because they're that horrible of a class of people. I mean they're just completely unpleasant.
The most 'prestigious' award in journalism, the Pulitzer Prize, is named after one of the most infamous muckraking, yellow journalists of the age. That should tell you all you need to know about journalistic integrity.
