Everyone knows Trayvoombwe actually mines the diamonds (at considerable risk to his health, at that).

Hirschel & pals run the racket as an army of lawyers, brokers, etc...keeping the price inflated 1,000+%.

Industrial and scientific applications? Sure.

Just don't bother with decorative diamonds. Big red flag if she holds the engagement hostage over Jewelry.
