Man, as much as I'm not really a fan of DeSantis, as I was just commenting yesterday, his remaining job was to be a buffer against Nicki Haley. Even though more of his support will go to Trump, this will still make Haley look stronger, unless she gets almost nothing. It really is a two person race now, as Haley preemptively declared after her third place finish in Iowa.

Also..."We can't go back to the old Republican guard of yesteryear..." Then why did you run on that, Ron?

This is really weird timing, too, it seems. He had other states coming up, and ones he'd been campaigning and spending money on. I get wanting to get out before Florida, but it seems like he really jumped the gun. But what do I know, I'm certainly no expert. But yeah, kind of confusing move, and not a fan. He obviously needed to do this eventually, but I wish he'd at least outlasted Nicki.
