People'll just fork it. Tachiyomi got rid of the extensions in their main app to download stuff, they got literally NOTHING they could do here.
Well they do threaten "strong legal and institutional responses against over 100 forked GitHub pages".
I'm surprised evilplushie only posted a screenshot. It's worth looking at the thread for the replies and the community notes that got cut off there.

They devs will just go off of github if it actually does get hot. If big dick Nintendo lawyers couldn't do shit against any of the switch hacking I doubt the korean manga peeps will be able to either though.
I've actually checked both their app and stuff like mangaplus to not be a hypocrite and honestly, all of them are kinda unusable. Barely any options, no ways to sync to my list to have it up to date(I like to remember what I read but sometimes I cannot, just too much). I think, as usual Gaben is right and piracy is a service problem. Give me an app like Tachiyomi with everything on it, I'd gladly pay 10 or even 15 bucks easily each month for content I do enjoy. The way this is though? I just buy the manga officially, or some merch from official sources if possible.
They just need to sell manga in a format that's as convenient to read as Tachiyomi + free of transgender localizer vandalism. That's the whole secret.
Manwhores be mad, apparently.
Tachiyomi is as guilty of copyright infringement as Nitter is. They’re all just front ends.
Dafuq? By that logic they would have to sue everyone that ever developed a browser.
"A doctor once helped deliver a baby that several years later scanned a manhwa using a bio-optical recording interface, wrote it on a bio-electric hard drive, and then shared data concerning the manwha to other interfaces wirelessly.
I would like this doctor sued, please." -Manwha publishers, apparently.
