The debt bubble bursting will mean seizure of ALL collateral.
Debt has never been more perilous.
Why wouldn't the money masters just keep printing money instead? Inflation benefits them immensely more, as you can own an asset "on paper" but if you don't have physical possession it's worthless.
Take a house for example: you can own the deed, but if you don't have a tenant or security on it, homeless drifters will move in within a month.
This article seems like junk reasoning to me - physical acquisition of everything is impossible logistically.
They don't need to physically acquire everything. They just need the legal authority and ability to project enforcement to come in and seize whatever they want whenever they want.
Good luck in Detroit with that.
Legal authority is one thing, ability to project force is another. You can't project it everywhere at once.
Nobody wants Detroit.
Lol. Agreed.
Actually that's my prediction: everywhere becomes Detroit and no one wants it.
All the demographics point that direction.
Thanks for posting! Haven’t been on his site in years. I’ll have to check out that reading list as well
Reminds me of this

Well that's the point of the article. All it takes is one "muh democracy" and your collateral for debt becomes you.
Or hey maybe the UN declares that citizens become collateral for national debts. Then we're all slaves to the usurists.
That, or expel the usurists from the country.
Far too lenient imo.
US debt has no collateral, other than the increasingly tenuous promise that you will be repaid in green pieces of paper.
