Yay multinational airlines supplanting locals. So based. Because every nation needs more foreign investment and control! Why have a domestic airline when you can instead rely on mega airlines from other countries!
Flying out of Newark, NJ which is a hub nearly completely controlled by United Airlines due to legit corruption where the head of the Port Authority went to jail over it - I'd have no problem if some European airlines popped in and competed. Shit, Southwest don't even have a single flight out of EWR.
Competition is a good thing. Propping up failed state actors and patronage pit airlines has always been a failure.
I said nothing about government monopolies. I guarantee the issues you have are not because of a free market. Nor does a free market mean allowing other state subsidized foreign airlines take over routes.
