I was tangentially involved in a case where a 14 year old boy repeatedly raped his younger sister and his "punishment" was being sent to a residential facility for troubled youth until he was 18.
Even when teens get the maximum sentence, it's still pitifully lenient, like 7 years for a murder.
My general advice is to forever sleep any teenage assailants attacking you because you should not expect anything resembling actual justice from the courts.
