I don't understand. Who are the airmen and Staff Officers of the art scene?
Are artists the airmen, leaning right, and gallery/venue owners the Officers, leaning left?
I always assumed the art scene overall was broadly leftist.
Most of the scene is small time folks who lean all over, but the organizations and specialists tend to be left leaning or pretend to be.
