Holocaust guilt doesn’t work on brown people. Pretty much sums it up.
It works on asians until you thoroughly question them about why. I've had long talks with my extended family and shaken them free of the bizarre undeserved loyalty to jews.
i think part of it was most of asia were victims of Japanese imperialism and jews were supposed victims of japan's ally, asians just took the 6 millions at face value without digging too deep into it because they could easily imagine Japanese army doing it to them had they the resources and manpower
I think its more an Asian American thing. They get fed the same propaganda as other Westerners. But you dont see Chinese in China worshipping jews for their victim status(the most they do is admire jews for being rich but they dont worship their victim status). And Chinese from China have been mainly supporting Palestine and i think they are more aware of jewish money than the average westerner is.
Definitely the case, the subtlety in education and culture is powerful enough to make it their default position, but that subtlety also worked in my favor because they listened to my arguments without immediately covering their ears and calling me an antisemite.
For my older family members, it was more about Catholics should support jews because "judeo-christianity" and jews are our "elders" in terms of religion, which plays a lot into asian values of respect.
I have to thank the current conflict for allowing me to bring up the subject naturally, without looking like I'm bringing up the topic out of thin air
yeah I meant the Asian Americans, Asians in Asia barely knew about what happened to the European front
